Note: I wrote this a year ago, and many of these items aren't available in the webshop (although I do have the slide, crib, and sofa). If you're looking for something, please feel free to contact me, and I'll see if I can get it for you.
Vacation time! We're going on vacation to Denmark soon, and I'm already busy preparing. I always enjoy collecting some fun things for the kids. Last year I made bags for the trip there, and I'm doing that again this year. This time I also made a suitcase dollhouse for Famke. I came across this one on Instagram from @Millamaloo:

Beautiful, isn't it! I still had a set of suitcases, so let's get started! Maybe you'd like to make one too, so I'll show you how I made my, ahem, Famke's suitcase.
First, I did a little research on what she's currently playing with the most and what kind of play she's doing with it. Famke is a real doll mom and loves putting dolls to bed, changing them, and feeding them. So, in my opinion, these three elements are essential. I decided to make a suitcase with the squirrels from the Sylvanian families. I was going to make two stories, but I think it would be too small for Famke (she's three).

The suitcase is part of a set of three. You can find beautiful ones everywhere, even with a name. Anyway, we already had this one, so I thought it would be a shame to buy a new one. After all, the suitcase is going on vacation, so it's always a matter of time before we know how beautiful it will be.
I once saw the wallpaper on Little Linzy's dollhouse, and it's from Bespoke Letterpress . I adapted a picture of it and printed it out. The floor is from a scrapbook set from Action (long live Action ;)). The set with the mushrooms is from the clock house from the mini Choo Choo Birdies Cuckoo Clockhouse. We gave Famke that one, but I think it's no longer available. The door on the suitcase is the door that still needs to go on the dollhouse... that's going to be an eighties project if I keep this up! I've had the flower for years; I have no idea where I got it. It has an elastic band so it can go in her hair.
I once ordered the basket for clothes and other items from my dollhouse miniature supplier. I do this often; I order a sample first to get a better look at it, and then I decide whether to put it in the shop or not. I'm still hesitant about this basket, although I'm starting to like it more and more. The little bottles, plates, and spoons are from Paymobil. Then there are the adorable squirrels from the Sylvanian Families collection, which also includes the pink bottle. I made the mother's dress myself. The other dress came with the squirrel. I also made the white slide myself; I wrote this tutorial with the pattern for it.
The other items are from the shop: white bench (part of the lounge sofa) , chest of drawers , pig , penguin , elephant , and house cushion . The play mat, crown, and crib with mattress will soon be added to the shop's new range. The crib's play mat and mattress come in various colors and prints.
It's great to see that other Instagrammers have made a suitcase like this, like Lolkje from @lolkjes.dollhouse. She made this one with Maileg mice.

These mice will soon be available in the shop. The cushions with the heart and the small black hearts , the pink button cushion , and the bench are from the shop. Lolkje has the mushrooms from Droomdeurtjes.
Now let's hope they have a lot of fun with it!
Next week, I'll be sending out the first updated Skattich newsletter with tips for decorating your dollhouse, new products, and special offers. I always try to include a fun printable, like a cute wallpaper or poster for the dollhouse. Would you like to receive the newsletter too? Great!
