What fabrics do you need?

For the squirrels

You can use fabrics such as cotton, linen, flannel or velvet. A fabric with a weight of approximately 160–180 g/m² works best for the body. It is best to choose a fabric that does not fray too much; 100% linen is therefore less suitable.

For the tail, you can use faux fur, but the same fabric as the body can also be used, of course.

For the miniature clothing

Many fabrics are suitable for miniature clothing, such as cotton, tricot, velour and muslin. The sewing instructions always indicate which fabrics are suitable for the garment in question.

Tip: upcycle! Use what you already have. Fabric scraps, old clothes and textiles from charity shops are ideal for giving your squirrels and their clothes a unique look. Ribbons and lace are also very useful. Not sure about a fabric? Try it out with a scrap first.
