Fans for your dollhouse

A while ago I made small fans as decorations in the dollhouse; I'd already made them in large sizes. They're not that difficult to make, but I got a lot of questions about how I made them, so I thought I'd make a quick DIY. Basically, you just fold a fan; that's all it is.

Here it comes:

The paper you use and how you ultimately cut it can be in your preferred style. The size can also vary.

You'll need a sheet of paper about two or three times as long as it is wide. Personally, I like them best with more folds, so I kept the paper quite long.

Now make a narrow fold at the top and fold it back and forth like an accordion.

Hold the ends together and now cut with a sharp Scissors the ends as you like.

Now fold your fan in half. Tie a thin thread around it several times.

Now glue one side together. Wait until one side is firmly glued, then glue the other side together. You can make as many as you like, in different colors. It's also fun to do with the kids! They're also great to stick onto a gift in miniature sizes.

Finished!
