Isn't it adorable?! I think the cardigan for the Micro Bunny turned out great. The little girl picked out the colors herself 🙂 For those interested, here's the pattern. I'm no knitting expert, so maybe not everything is according to the rules!
I knitted with cotton and size 2 needles. It's not very complicated, but it was a bit fiddly!
back panel:
Cast on 18 stitches with light pink.
knit 1 row and purl 1 row.
Now knit 1 row and purl 1 row with dark pink
knit the next row with light pink, dec the first 2 sts
Purl 1 row and decrease the first 2 stitches
knit 1 row, dec first 2 stitches
Purl 1 row, dec first 2 sts.
Continue knitting alternately, decreasing 2 stitches on each row.
Continue this until you have 6 stitches left. Fasten off.
Front 1:
cast on 9 stitches with light pink
knit 1 row and purl 1 row
Now knit 1 row and purl 1 row with dark pink
knit the next row with light pink
purl 1 row, dec first 2 sts
knit 1 row, dec first 2 stitches
Purl 1 row, dec the first 2 stitches. You now have 3 stitches left.
Now fasten off. Be sure to leave a long tail. You'll use this to crochet the cord to close the cardigan.
Front 2:
cast on 9 stitches with light pink
knit 1 row and purl 1 row
Now knit 1 row and purl 1 row with dark pink
knit the next row with light pink, dec the first 2 sts
purl 1 row, dec first 2 sts
knit 1 row, dec first 2 stitches
Purl 1 row. You now have 3 stitches left.
Now fasten off. Be sure to leave a long tail. You'll use this to crochet the cord to close the cardigan.
Sleeves:
cast on 18 stitches with light pink
knit 1 row and purl 1 row
Now knit 1 row and purl 1 row with dark pink
knit the next row with light pink
purl 1 row.
knit 1 row and purl 1 row.
knit 1 row, decrease the first stitch
Purl 1 row, dec first stitch.
Continue this until you have 8 stitches left.
Then knit 1 row and decrease the first 2 stitches.
Then purl 1 row again, dec the first 2 stitches. You now have 4 stitches left. Fasten off.
Now sew the body panels together. Start by sewing the sleeves to the body panels. Here and there, they won't fit perfectly, but you can straighten that out a bit by sewing.
Good luck and have fun! (If you use the pattern, please let me know!)
