Speaking of cute...

Maileg dollhouse I have a new addiction... (I often tend to get completely stuck on something after discovering it.) It's really adorable, and it's called "Maileg." It's a Danish brand, and they make things like fabric bunnies, mice, and furniture for these creatures. I'm planning to renovate a small dollhouse to give to our daughter in December, and then a large dollhouse (a nice project for Grandpa) as a super gift for her second birthday in June. I'm planning to do that, but now that I've discovered Maileg, and it's a "large dollhouse," the small house is becoming a bit of a chore! Oh well, I'll just have to persevere. It's also better to have more time for the super house. Besides buying some of that Maileg furniture—it would be nice to occasionally pick up some things from Marktplaats, thrift stores, and flea markets—I also want to make some things myself. I can sew the bunnies myself, especially, and with the jigsaw I bought today, I even want to try my hand at a new craft: jigsaws. I've already tried many techniques, and I must say I've mastered them quite well, so I'm going to see if this one can be added to the list. Besides 'making furniture,' that is :). So...first, I'll start on the small dollhouse, and in the meantime, I'm working on the super house. And the worst part is, the butterfly artwork isn't even finished yet! Ugh...way too busy, but way too much fun! I think I'll just keep track of the progress on both houses, so more in the next posts... (and oh yeah, I put in a bid on Marktplaats today for a Maileg folding bench...I really hope it goes through!)
