Maileg Mouse Sizes
Maileg mice come in four different sizes: Father and Mother, Big Brother and Sister, Little Brother and Sister and Baby mice.
Father and mother are about 15 cm tall
Big brother and sister are about 13 cm tall
Little brother and sister are about 11 cm tall
Baby mice are about 8 cm long
Maileg also calls the brother and sister mice 'Micro' size and the baby mice 'My' size.
Then there are the mice with a small magnet in their hands. This is handy because it allows them to grasp something metal. They can also adorably clasp their hands together and hold a flower, for example. Examples of these mice are the walking/hiking mice, which can hold their campfire sticks, and the tricycle mice, which can grip the handlebars of their bicycles.
Maileg Furniture
Maileg furniture is also divided into My size and Micro size. The baby mice and My rabbits fit in the My size furniture. The brother and sister mice, both large and small, fit in the Micro size furniture, and sometimes the father and mother fit as well, but not always. Maileg has now made it a bit easier by indicating that they made the item for the mice.
There's also the Mini or "miniature" size. This size is suitable for Teddies and bunnies of sizes 1 & 2. Mini or miniature furniture is much larger than the My and Micro furniture and is really only suitable for large dollhouses like Maileg's House. They're made for bunnies of around 22 cm (size 1). Because Skattich wants to focus on the world of mice and everything related to them, we only have furniture available that's suitable for the mouse size. We still have a few larger items in our sale or in our regular range because they simply go well with mice. Because hey, a child generally doesn't care if it's not exactly "right." In this case, this is explicitly mentioned.
Generally, furniture in Mouse, My, and Micro sizes fits in a standard 1:12 scale dollhouse (standard dollhouse proportions), the Ikea Flisat dollhouse, the Maileg Castle, and the Maileg Hall. If you happen to have a larger dollhouse because you really liked it and found it on Marktplaats, that's certainly a good option too! Therefore, the Maileg dollhouse, the House of Miniatures, is also perfectly suitable for use with just the mice and furniture. More about dollhouses later.
Maileg beds
Currently, these different beds are available that can be used with mice:
Maileg bed off-white. All mice fit in here.
Maileg vintage mouse bed. It fits a little brother/sister and baby. It's a bit too small for an older brother/sister.
Maileg cot Micro, here fit big brother/sister, little brother/sister and baby mouse.
Maileg crib "my," metal. This one is suitable for baby mice.
Maileg crib my, wood here fits baby mouse exactly in.

Maileg accessories 
Maileg's accessories are generally larger than 1:12 scale because they're designed to be safe for younger children to play with. Personally, I think the combination with the slightly larger accessories, like the slightly oversized teacups and teapot, really suits the mouse world. Small accessories from Maileg
As I mentioned before, Skattich only offers items in its shop that perfectly complement the Maileg mice in your mouse house, or the mouse-sized dolls in your dollhouse. To show you the small accessories Maileg currently has available, I've compiled a list of all these small items. Some items, like the toaster with the rolls, are sold separately, while others are part of a set, like the eggs in the stove set and the teapots in the tea set. And there are so many, and each one is so cute!
Clothes for the Maileg mice
There are plenty of clothes and outfits for older siblings, and in the new collection, there are also some for younger siblings. Generally, they can't wear each other's clothes.
But big brothers and sisters can share clothes with the micro rabbits and bunnies, because they are about the same size.
Father and mother (and grandfather and grandmother) mice have their own collection of 'daddy & mommy' custom clothing.
Skattich clothing
We also make clothing for the Maileg mice ourselves, such as knitted dresses, mermaid tails, and bunny ears. These items always clearly indicate which mouse they are intended for.
Combination with Skattich furniture and accessories
At Skattich, we offer not only Maileg furniture and accessories, but also other items. These are sometimes products from our own workshop, while others are purchased. None of these items have been tested for toy safety. This means they should always be handled with care and under supervision. All Skattich furniture and accessories have been carefully selected to complement the Maileg mouse world. Some will be perfectly sized, while others may be slightly larger or smaller. This is generally indicated for each individual item, so always check the dimensions carefully and, if necessary, build something with blocks or boxes. The materials are also compatible with the Maileg mouse world; the items are made of wood, metal, polyresin, or clay. Plastic is only used where necessary (for cabinet windows, faucets, etc.).
Maileg and dollhouses
Will the mice fit in a standard dollhouse? Yes, they can. I won't go into this in detail now, as I've already written several blog posts about it, which I'd like to refer you to (see "Blog" in the menu on the homepage). I sometimes hear that people find the father and mother mouse too big for a standard dollhouse, such as the Plantoys dollhouse pictured here. Personally, I disagree, but that's also a matter of taste. They'd then make the parents into big brother and sister. This is certainly possible, but it takes away the idea of the mice looking a bit older and wearing different clothes. Whether the Maileg furniture fits in a standard dollhouse is hard to say in a single word. It depends on your taste and the size of the rooms. So...look carefully at the dimensions and photos.
Then you have the larger dollhouse and the Maileg miniature house. This can also be perfectly decorated with mice and their belongings.
The Maileg Castle is actually just like a standard dollhouse, but narrow. This means you can fit a little less inside, but they're still fantastic for reenacting fairy tales and royal adventures!
The Ikea Flisat dollhouse is super practical and fun to decorate as a mouse house. It's especially fun to start with, so you can see how it fits and whether people play with it. You can also give the house a different theme or redecorate it, whatever you like!
