So when you're asked if you'd like to help decorate the beautiful Plantoys Victorian dollhouse, you can't wait to get started!
I preferred a combination of Maileg and the Maileg-style dollhouse furniture, so I went with that. I often have furniture I don't have in the shop because I only have one (left). Using it is, of course, a lot of fun, because it makes the dollhouse even more special.
Let me start with the photos, and based on them, I can tell you what you see. You can now clearly see how the mice combine with the dollhouse furniture. As you can see, they fit perfectly and are especially fun to play with. It's still a bit complicated, and I get a lot of questions about it, so I'll provide some explanation here and there about the Maileg names and explanations. I won't list all the accessories you see; you can find those in the shop. And I also have two fun DIY projects for you!
The Plantoys Victorian dollhouse is a beautiful, sturdy wooden dollhouse. It comes as a kit, so you'll need to do some DIY first, but it's worth it!

Personally, I think this house is beautiful in itself and I wouldn't change too much about it, like wallpaper and flooring. But of course, everyone has their own choice.

Let me start at the top with the lovely Maileg flags. They always make a dollhouse so cheerful. You can find the Maileg flags here with the 'Happy Day Set' . The playpen and the crib are also both Maileg. The playpen you see here is the My size. My is the designation for the size of the baby mice (and baby bunnies). Basically, anything marked with "My" is meant for the baby mice. This means the baby mice will fit in it. However, it doesn't necessarily mean it's suitable for a 1:12 dollhouse. I always use this: the baby mice and bunnies fit in the My furniture, and the Mini bunnies act as their caregivers. So, the My baby fits in the My high chair, and the Mini bunny can feed the baby. And... the baby fits in the My stroller, and the Mini bunny can walk behind it. But this doesn't necessarily mean it will "fit" in a "small" 1:12 dollhouse or not. Mixing things up and using a less-than-ideal ratio can be a lot of fun, and children usually don't mind playing with it; they'll just mix everything together. So, if you put your mother mouse behind the My stroller, it's perfectly fine.
The My Box contains a baby mouse that actually belongs to the twin set. Maileg currently has a new twin , which is absolutely adorable.
A little sister is sleeping in the metal micro crib . It's Miss Mouse, and she's wearing a beautiful light blue skirt and comes in a cute suitcase.
The balloon on the wall comes from an old collection of Skattich and is currently no longer available.

When Mother Mouse , a nurse in her daily life, comes home after a hard day's work, she desperately wants a bath. The bath is made of wood and can therefore withstand a few knocks. Unfortunately, the bath has been out of stock for a while, so I don't currently have it in the shop.

As you can see, Father Mouse is a chef in his daily life. He's taking a lovely break on the couch. 🙂 I made the painting from a piece of a Maileg paper bag and a frame. I use these bags to package ordered products. The frames will be available in the shop soon, as will the rug and similar plants.

The kitchen remains fairly basic, with natural wood furniture. The pink refrigerator is no longer available.

In the bedroom stands the beautiful Maileg micro bed . This one is actually made for mice. It fits perfectly in a 1:12 scale house, and mom and dad can sleep together comfortably. The Maileg ochre rug looks great in a natural-colored house. The rocking chair holds one of the Maileg triplet babies . The rocking chair is the "My" version. The baby mice fit perfectly in it, and its size is also the best fit for a 1:12 scale dollhouse. I customized the wardrobe :). If you scroll down a bit, you can see the details and read exactly how I did it.

The wardrobe turned out really cute. It's the natural-colored one on legs that I painted peach pink. Then I measured the inside and cut out two pieces of Maileg wrapping paper with little gold birds. I simply glued them on with glue stick. If you'd like to decorate a wardrobe with a piece of Maileg wrapping paper, please let me know in the comments section of your order and I'll include a piece of paper.

In the attic are mattresses with pillows and, above them, a powder-pink canopy. I made a limited edition of this. I'll be making new canopies in a different style soon.
